idle3-tools software package provides change the idle3 timer of recent Western Digital Hard Disk Drives, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install idle3-tools
idle3-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the idle3-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep idle3-tools *
